Guidant Global’s Brian Salkowski recognised as an influential leader in SIA's 2019 Staffing 100 list, North America

Staffing Industry Analysts (SIA), the global advisor on staffing and workforce solutions, has unveiled its eighth annual list of North American staffing leaders, honoring 100 individuals whose influence and accomplishments are elevating the workforce solutions ecosystem and taking the industry forward. The 2019 Staffing 100 list is sponsored by Indeed and is not a ranking but a way to acknowledge the leadership, talent and commitment that drive efficiencies, impact legislation and contribute to new models of work. It includes a wide range of roles, from CEOs, entrepreneurs and technologists to workforce specialists, legal advisors, data scientists and more, and covers different types of companies and niches — from more traditional staffing to human cloud platforms to MSP/VMS and RPO.

The 2019 Staffing 100 North America stand out as leaders, executives and visionaries and for their significant commitment to empowering people. From job-seekers and internal talent to partners and stakeholders across the ecosystem, the Staffing 100 honorees understand that people helping people is both a competitive advantage and a way to advance the world of work for all,” said Subadhra Sriram, Editor & Publisher, Media Products, SIA. “Congratulations to those individuals named to this year’s list for their achievements and contributions and for making it, ultimately, about people.”

We are incredibly proud that Brian Salkowski, Chief Operating Officer of Guidant Global has been named as one of the staffing industry’s top influencers. 2018 was a transformational year for everyone at Guidant Global and Brian played an instrumental role in leading our phenomenal team. We spoke to Brian about his recognition and proudest achievement at Guidant:

What did you do in 2018 that earned you a spot on this list?

In 2018 I was extremely privileged to play an instrumental role in the merger of Bartech and Guidant Group, to form Guidant Global: a new global force in talent acquisition and managed workforce solutions. Our dynamic new proposition was thoroughly researched and during the buyer consultation process it became clear there is widespread desire for our industry to deliver a better way by focusing the lens firmly on innovation and people. We knew that by combining forces, we could challenge the status quo to deliver better results, outcomes and solutions for all. So that’s exactly what we’ve done.

Guidant Global champions a better, more forward-thinking way of working and has a core philosophy of shifting the focus to people – the vibrant force that drives thriving businesses and creates energy and opportunity. We are active in over 80 countries, managing over 200,000 engagements, for over 90 clients each year. Quite simply, we know there is a better way and with every single one of us committed to delivering this, it makes us more than just workforce solution specialists. We listen, understand and advise. And we build relationships based on trust.”

What is your proudest achievement in 2018?

It’s fair to say 2018 was an exceptional year for everyone at Guidant Global and I’m very proud of everything we have collectively achieved over the past 12 months. In addition to the branding efforts, we made significant investment and progress in our advanced analytics capabilities, services procurement solutions and geographic expansion.

On a personal note, I was one of the few members of the leadership team to be able to attend Guidant Global’s launches on both sides of the Atlantic. We launched in North America first on 2nd October at SIA’s CWS Summit in Dallas and then in London a couple of weeks later. This gave me the opportunity to speak directly to our teams, clients and industry partners on both sides of the pond and to witness first-hand how our new proposition and vision has been received by those that matter most – our people and our customers. Seeing their reactions made all of our hard work worthwhile and reinforced that we have an authentic, robust and unique proposition which is firmly grounded in the future.”

Also included in SIA's Hall of Fame list is David Barfield, CEO of Impellam North America. Congratulations to both Brian and David, and all the influential leaders who are featured on this prestigious list!
